When to fly

Best windows by region

Everest Oct–Nov · Mar–May

Clearest skies and stable mornings for Kala Patthar, EBC and mountain flights.

Annapurna Oct–Nov · Mar–Apr

Sanctuary and skyline routes fly best outside monsoon cloud build-up.

Upper Mustang Mar–Nov

Rain-shadow valleys stay flyable longer; peak colour in autumn and spring.

Langtang Oct–Nov · Mar–May

Gosainkunda and valley flights favour the same clear-season windows as Everest.

Where we fly

Four regions. One crew.
Every valley, known.

Choose a region below to discover every heli trek, heli return and scenic flight we operate there.

Why fly instead of walk it all

The mountains don't care how you arrive.
Your calendar does.

01

Days back, not comfort lost

A heli return trades a multi-day descent for a 40-minute flight — the same summit views, a fraction of the leave.

02

Built-in weather contingency

Every itinerary carries a buffer day and an alternate ground plan, so a socked-in morning never strands your trip.

03

Flown by CAAN-licensed crews

Our pilots and guides operate these exact valleys year-round — not a one-off charter booked for the day.

How a flight comes together

From enquiry to touchdown, in four steps.

01

Tell us your dates

Send your travel window and the summit or valley you want to see — we reply with routes that actually fit it.

02

We read the weather window

Your crew checks the forecast against the route and confirms a flight date, with a buffer day built in.

03

Pre-flight briefing

A short briefing in Kathmandu covers the route, altitude, and what to expect at each landing.

04

Wheels up

Board at Kathmandu or your trek's start point — most routes are airborne within 15 minutes of arrival.

"We stood at Kala Patthar for sunrise and were back at our Kathmandu hotel in time for a late lunch. I didn't think that was possible in the Khumbu."

Hannah WeissEverest BC Luxury Heli Return Trek · Oct 2025
★★★★★

"My knees would never have survived the walk out of Annapurna Sanctuary. The helicopter leg was smooth, and our pilot pointed out Machapuchare the entire way."

David OkaforAnnapurna Base Camp with Helicopter Return · Sep 2025
★★★★★

"Lo Manthang alone was worth the trip. Booking took ten minutes over WhatsApp with Sonam, and the whole itinerary ran exactly as planned, weather buffer and all."

Marta NowakLuxury Upper Mustang Heli Trek · Nov 2025
★★★★★

"Only had four days of leave and still got to see Everest up close. The Kathmandu briefing the evening before made the whole thing feel properly organised."

James WhitfieldEverest Mountain Flight By Heli · Aug 2025
★★★★★

"Our original flight got pushed a day for weather and nobody panicked — the buffer day they build in meant it barely affected the trip. That's when you know a company knows these mountains."

Priya NairGosainkunda Heli Tour · Jul 2025
★★★★☆

"Incredible views the whole way along the Himalayan skyline, and the pilot named every peak over the intercom. Would've liked a bit longer at the Everest View Hotel stop."

Before you book

Common questions.

Straight answers on weather, fitness and what happens if plans change.

What if the weather delays my flight?+
Every itinerary includes a buffer day. If the morning is socked in, we hold for a clearer window the same day or the next. If the route cannot fly within your buffer, we rebook or offer a fair alternative — you are never left stranded without a plan.
How fit do I need to be?+
Scenic flights and short heli tours need only basic mobility for boarding. Heli treks still involve walking at altitude on the ground segments — difficulty is listed on each package. Tell us your experience level and we will match a route that fits.
What about altitude sickness?+
Helicopters reach high elevations quickly. We brief every guest on symptoms, carry oxygen on relevant routes, and design itineraries with sensible exposure times. If you have a history of AMS, mention it when you enquire so we can plan conservatively.
Private charter or join a small group?+
Both are available. Many scenic flights and some treks can run as private charters for couples or families. Small-group departures keep the cost lower while staying intimate — group size is shown on each package page.
How far in advance should I book?+
Peak seasons (October–November and March–May) fill early. Two to three months ahead is comfortable for most routes; last-minute seats sometimes open when weather reshuffles the schedule — message us and we will check.

The same crews, year after year.

Our pilots and mountain guides fly these valleys full-time — not seasonal charters. Meet the people who'll be in the cockpit and on the ground.
