Trip overview

The journey

The Everest BC Luxury Heli Return Trek combines the adventure of trekking through the legendary Everest region with the comfort and exclusivity of a scenic helicopter return. Designed for travelers who want to experience Everest Base Camp without spending weeks retracing the same trail, this premium journey offers an exceptional balance of Himalayan adventure, luxury accommodation, personalized service, and breathtaking aerial scenery.

Your adventure begins with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, followed by a carefully paced trek through the heart of the Khumbu. Walk through traditional Sherpa villages, beautiful rhododendron and pine forests, suspension bridges, and dramatic alpine landscapes as you gradually ascend toward Everest Base Camp.

Along the route, spend time in Namche Bazaar, the vibrant Sherpa capital, with a dedicated acclimatization day to help your body adjust to the increasing altitude. Continue through Tengboche, Dingboche and Lobuche, surrounded by spectacular views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse and Pumori.

The ultimate highlight comes as you reach Everest Base Camp and stand beneath the world’s highest mountain. The journey continues to Kala Patthar, where an early-morning ascent rewards you with one of the most spectacular panoramic views of Everest and the surrounding Himalayan giants.

Rather than making the long trek back to Lukla, your return journey is transformed into a spectacular helicopter flight over the Everest landscape. Soar above glaciers, valleys, villages and Himalayan peaks before connecting onward to Kathmandu.

Throughout the journey, enjoy premium mountain lodge accommodation, full-board meals, private trekking support, comfortable Kathmandu accommodation, and a carefully managed itinerary. This is Everest Base Camp trekking elevated into a more comfortable, time-efficient and exclusive Himalayan experience – ideal for travelers seeking the iconic Everest adventure with a luxurious return by helicopter.

Questions, answered

FAQ

How fit do I need to be?+
You should be comfortable walking 5–7 hours a day at altitude; prior high-altitude trekking helps but isn't required.
How does the helicopter return work?+
Weather and loading permitting, you fly from near base camp to Lukla and on to Kathmandu the same day, cutting roughly four days of descent.
What about altitude sickness?+
The itinerary is built around standard acclimatisation days and your guide carries a pulse oximeter and monitors you daily.
