Questions, answered

FAQ

How fit do I need to be?+
You should be comfortable walking 5–7 hours a day at altitude; prior high-altitude trekking helps but isn't required.
How does the helicopter return work?+
Weather and loading permitting, you fly from near base camp to Lukla and on to Kathmandu the same day, cutting roughly four days of descent.
What about altitude sickness?+
The itinerary is built around standard acclimatisation days and your guide carries a pulse oximeter and monitors you daily.
