Standing with the families behind Nepal’s mountains
Warm Rasuwa 2026
Emergency Winter Assistance for Families of Deceased Trekking & Mountain Guides
Why this matters
Trekking and mountain guides play an important role in Nepal’s mountain tourism industry. When a guide loses his life, the impact does not end with the loss of one individual. His wife and children can suddenly lose their primary source of income and face significant financial and emotional hardship.
Following the recent disaster in Rasuwa District, some families of deceased trekking and mountain guides are facing particularly difficult circumstances. With winter approaching, many require immediate assistance to obtain adequate warm clothing, blankets and other essential winter supplies.
Who will benefit?
- Widows with limited or no stable income
- School-age children
- Families directly affected by the Rasuwa disaster
- Households facing serious financial hardship
- Families without adequate winter clothing or bedding
Immediate priority: Winter protection
Our first priority is emergency winter assistance — essential winter supplies before the coldest period. Your contribution helps provide items such as warm jackets, thermal clothing, blankets, winter shoes, warm socks, woolen hats and gloves, and winter clothing for children.
“They dedicated their lives to the mountains and to helping others. Now, together, we can stand beside their families.”
